Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree of at least three years' duration in any discipline from a recognized university.
Final-year students are eligible to apply, provided they complete their degree by June of the admission year.
There is no upper age limit for appearing in the XAT exam, nor is there a limit on the number of attempts.
XAT is a computer-based test with a total duration of 180 minutes. It consists of 95 MCQs divided into two parts. Part 1 (170 mins) has Decision Making, Verbal & Logical Ability, and Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation with no sectional time limits. Part 2 (10 mins) has General Knowledge. Correct answers fetch 1 mark, with a 0.25 mark penalty for incorrect answers. GK has no negative marking.
